XinhuaAmin H. Nasser, president and CEO of Saudi Arabian Oil Company (Saudi Aramco), said at the company's 2024 Financial Results Press Conference that the Chinese market is crucial to Aramco, and the company is deepening its cooperation with China, especially through expanding investments in the fields of liquid-to-chemicals (LTCT) technologies and new energy.
Nasser noted that China is not only an important market for Aramco's crude oil exports, but also a key partner for the company's LTCT strategy. "We have seen that China's refining industry, especially in the field of LTCT, has achieved globally leading capabilities, which provides significant collaborative opportunities for Aramco," he stated.
In terms of investment strategies, Nasser introduced that Aramco is actively advancing a series of major investments in China, with related projects progressing smoothly. Concurrently, Aramco is strengthening its strategic cooperation with Sinopec and other Chinese enterprises to explore more joint investment opportunities.
Nasser underscored that Aramco will remain committed to investing in the new energy sector. "The Chinese market and Chinese partners will continue to play a vital role in Aramco's global strategy, and we look forward to working hand in hand with more Chinese partners to achieve shared growth," he said.
