On March 10th, the Secretariat of China-Arab States Expo (the Department of Commerce of Ningxia) held a coordination meeting for the preparation of the 7th China-Arab States Expo (the Expo), with participation from 17 relevant units including the Propaganda Department of Ningxia Party Committee, the Foreign Affairs Office and the Development and Reform Commission. With a focus on "successfully organizing the 7th Expo through pragmatic and innovative approaches", the meeting aimed at refining next-step operational frameworks and fostering collaborative synergy to drive coordinated efforts.

The meeting reviewed a progress report from the Office of the Secretariat of the Expo (the Office) on preparations for the 7th Expo. Subsequently, the following departments of Ningxia provided updates on their respective sub-activities respectively: Department of Science and Technology, Department of Water Resources, Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, Department of Culture and Tourism, Health Commission, Department of Market Supervision, Ningxia Council for the Promotion of International Trade (Ningxia CCPIT), Ningxia Meteorological Bureau and other departments. Separately, representatives from the Ningxia Department of Finance, State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission (SASAC), Forestry and Grassland Bureau, the Construction Bureau of Three-North Shelterbelt Forest Program under National Forestry and Grassland Administration, and Yinchuan Municipality Government exchanged insights on making a good job of the 7th Expo through pragmatic and innovative approaches.

The meeting held that the Expo is a national-level international event. Successfully hosting this Expo constitutes not only a major political mandate assigned to Ningxia, but also a pivotal opportunity to holistically elevate the region's global visibility, openness, and international level. It is imperative to strategically utilize the Expo as a platform to fully leverage its role , and systematically enrich and deepen a new paradigm of all-dimensional, multi-tiered, and cross-sectoral cooperation between China and Arab states.

The meeting also emphasized that all organizing bodies should accurately grasp the new circumstances and requirements confronting this session of Expo, and strategically leverage and optimize the platform of the Expo to showcase Ningxia's commitment to global openness by aligning with the priorities of China-Arab economic collaboration and Ningxia's industrial development trends. The event organizers are expected to anchor the priorities including economic-trade collaboration, technology transfer, industrial promotion, and project contracting to deepen the practical cooperation, actively and steadily advance market-oriented exploration to enhance market-driven operation, and elevate the Expo's quality benchmarks and value creation in a sustained manner. Additionally, it is necessary to focus on enhancing the functionality of the Expo platform, expediting strategic planning for the high-value participant engagement, targeted enterprise selection, and major projects blueprinting, to substantively amplify the Expo's global outreach and brand visibility.
