Science and Technology Department of NingxiaRecently, China-Arab States Technology Transfer Center (CASTTC) held a series of online matchmaking meetings with overseas bilateral centers such as the centers of League of Arab States (LAS), Egypt and Algeria, as well as members of CASTTC Collaboration Network such as the Arab Countries Organization for Agricultural Development (ACOAD), Egyptian Foundation for Support of Innovation (EFSI), and Egyptian Academy of Scientific Research and Technology (EASRIT). These meetings aimed to promote the scientific and technological events of the 7th China-Arab States Expo (the Expo) and explore the key areas and potential cooperation opportunities for international scientific and technological cooperation in 2025.
The heads of relevant overseas institutions all expressed that they would, as always, support and actively participate in the activities of the science and technology section of the Expo. Through participation in technology matchmaking sessions, training programs and exhibitions in fields such as desertification control and artificial intelligence, they hoped to promote the interaction and exchanges among innovation entities, including universities, research institutes, and enterprises through bilateral and multilateral networks. Additionally, they aimed to advance more substantive collaboration in areas of mutual interest.
In the next step, focusing on the tailored needs of overseas partners, CASTTC will build relevant joint laboratories, carry out training on innovation and entrepreneurship, technology transfer and commercialization of research outcomes, hold technology matchmaking activities in the fields of low-altitude economy, fungus cultivation, food processing, etc., and facilitate applications for intergovernmental scientific and technological cooperation projects and Talented Young Scientist Program (TYSP). It will push forward the implementation of the consensus on cooperation and deepen practical outcomes of China-Arab States technology transfer and scientific and technological cooperation and exchanges.
